Happy Friday!
This week I thought I’d share a few things I’ve been laughing or thinking about lately:
Opinions
Hero culture
Some companies inadvertently promote a “hero culture” — instead of solving problems when they’re small, often people are incentivized to wait until problems are big enough so they can be the savior or hero. Here’s an illustration:
Humanity
New beginnings
I’m hearing from many of my friends, peers, and clients that folks are shaking up their careers and lives. There seems to be a deep yearning for exploration, risk-taking, and introspective questioning that has prompted many to quit their (tech) jobs in search of something… else.
Something strange is happening to the exhausted, type-A millennial workers of America. After a year spent hunched over their MacBooks, enduring back-to-back Zooms in between sourdough loaves and Peloton rides, they are flipping the carefully arranged chessboards of their lives and deciding to risk it all.

Quiet miracles
May you take time to celebrate the quiet miracles that seek no attention.

Until next time, friends.
